You deal with life with access to your curated playlists on Spotify. Millions of hearts around the world beat with the help of a pacemaker. Candles are lit with the help of safety matches. Innumerable lives have been saved with the help of the three-point seat belt. And in today’s highly digitised world, safe spaces are created with the help of Truecaller’s fraud alerts.

These are just a few examples of Swedish inventions and innovations that have made a difference and are a part of our daily lives.

Welcome to Swedish Innovations, Indian Interpretations! A photo competition which invites you to creatively capture any of the Swedish inventions or innovations against an Indian backdrop.

For inspiration, think a Ganesha idol being brought home by car – safely in position with a 3-point safety belt. Or a local tailor (or designer) stitching a zipper into a kurta. Or a bunch of Indian school children drinking juice in Tetra Pak... You get the drift, right?
